We have 6 Lead Support Workers at the moment. Our dedicated Lead Support staff offer guidance and direction to the support staff team to best support our Next Steppers in a person centred manner. They are responsible for helping to lead day-to-day organisation of activities, administrative duties, and supporting individual Next Steppers to make the most of their day.

Laura – I started work here at the Nest Step Trust in 2017 prior to this I knew I had always wanted to work with people and applied for a job as a police officer and a position as a support worker in supported living. I was offered a position as a community support officer with the police force and a full time support worker on the same day I had to make the choice and I am so glad that I chose to take on the support role it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made.  I have recently stepped into the role of a Lead support and this has helped me gain in confidence and to develop new skills.

When I am home I enjoy spending time out walking with my Two Boys and My partner we love going on adventures and finding new places to explore.
