Taking the lead of the Health & Safety team is our Operations Manager. Here to oversee that the health & safety requirements of Next Step are met ensuring a safe environment for all Next Steppers, employees and visitors. The Operations Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring health & safety policies, procedures and practices.
Health, Safety & Environmental Officer
To support and assist the Operations Manager in promoting the health & safety of Next Step, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Facilities Caretaker
Taking a more hands on role is our facilities caretaker who is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance, and security of our sites. Their role is often hands-on and ensures the premises are clean, safe, and in good working condition.

“I joined the Marines at 18 after leaving Ryburn Valley High school. During my career I was based in Arbroath, Plymouth and Helensburgh and was fortunate to work on an island in the Indian Ocean called Diego Garcia, Operationally I’ve served in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
On retiring from the Marines in Feb I soon found myself isolated due to Covid 19, I find myself extremely fortunate to have found a job I know I will enjoy and have been welcomed with open arms by everyone at NST. I look forward to the easing of lockdown and getting to know all the Next Steppers.”
