Imagine the combination of interactive light, sound and touch all controlled by, and tailored to every individual: The Sensory Room is fully equipped with many different ways to stimulate the senses.

A variety of technology such as multicoloured bubble tubes, fibre optic cascade, mirror ball, oil projector, shape projector, pin spot projector, soundboard, interactive tactile disc and a large-screen audiovisual projection system all serve as stimuli operated by a selection of switches which can be linked together in any combination allowing individuals to create and interact with their own preferred environment.

The ball pool area, thermostatically controlled water bed and selection of soft furniture compliment the technology enabling everyone to enjoy the therapeutic atmosphere.

Next Steppers benefit from the versatility of this room through activities such as sensory stories, physiotherapy, relaxation, music and cinema.

The sensory room has recently been relocated and fully updated by Experia who also installed our original smaller sensory room. This invaluable update was made possible through a variety of kind donations and funding for which we are very thankful.

As we have seen our Next Steppers benefit greatly from this facility we are looking in to the possibility of hiring out the sensory room to other interested parties so that they can benefit too.
